American Country collectors can attend the expanded Hermann Antique Show on Saturday April 21st from 9 AM to 4 PM and enjoy seeing some of the finest collectible pieces on display in one of the most unique venues in the Midwest.

The show is for anyone who loves collecting and finding just the right piece to display in home or office.   Whether it's an Amish handmade doll,  a woven counterpane, a Redware bowl, copper weather vane, or a delicate sampler for focal point or accent mark---all these things represent early design forms so popular with collectors in today's market.

With the grand opening of the Old Mill in the heart of downtown historic Hermann,  the Hermann Antique Show is creating the perfect location for presenting the best items on the market today.

Baskets, pewter, pottery and primitive portraits are just a few of the things you'll see featured inside incredible buildings showing both regional artifacts, century old pieces,  genre paintings, textiles, useful household items and all manner of fine furniture certain to please the most seasoned dabbler in antiques,  to the passionate collector and connoisseur.

Those who visit will be able to meet designer, folk artist and author of "Olden Days-Early Country Decorating" magazine,  Barbara Rice.  She will be signing and selling copies of her premier issue.

The doors to the Old Mill and Ice House will be open at 9 AM along with the Festhalle and the Hofgarten. The venues alone will help create a vital link to the past as Hermannhof Winery,  the sponsor of the show,  welcomes all hunters of American Country to this annual event held each Spring. The event will take place at the corner of First Street and Gutenberg in the heart of Historic Hermann with views of the Missouri River.   Dozens of dealers will be on hand to share decorating tips and offer ideas on how to live with your collections.  Lunches will be available on location with menu offerings of classic and upscale cuisine sure to please.
